WELCOME TO JALGAON Sub:- West Zone Inter University Kho-Kho (Women) Tournament for the Year Dear Colleagues and Sportspersons, On behalf of the Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor, Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon, I am pleased to invite you to the West Zone Inter University Kho-Kho (Women) Tournament for the year scheduled to be held at Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon from 19 th to 22 rd November, VENUE : Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari North Maharashtra University, Sports Complex Umavinagar, Jalgaon (M.S.)Near National Highway No.6,(Mumbai-Bhusawal Central Railway Line) Surat-Bhusawal, Western Railway Line. ARRIVAL: At Jalgaon Railway Station/Bus Stand. Venue is at a distance of ten to twelve k.m. by bus. Reception counters will function at Jalgaon Railway Station & Jalgaon ST Stand, from 18 th November, 2018 onwards during the arrival times of the trains. LOCAL TRANSPORT: City Bus, Auto Rickshas are available at Jalgaon Station and Bus Stand. Bus fare is Rs.15/- & Auto fare is Rs.20/- for one person, generally. LODGING: Unfurnished Lodging for players & Managers will be provided in the University Campus, Umavinagar, Jalgaon. Teams should bring their own beddings, Mosquito Nets, Locks and Keys. Many good Veg. and Non-Veg. Hotels are available near the venue. A caution deposit of Rs.500/-(Rupees Five Hundred only) from each team will be collected at the reception booth. The deposit will be refunded when the team vacates the rooms. Teams should vacate their rooms within twenty four hours of their last match. SIGHT SEEING: Tourist attraction around the place include. 1) World famous Ellora Caves about 150 kms distance from the venue. 2) World famous Ajanta Caves only 60 kms distance from the venue. 3) Historical background City Aurangabad only 160 kms distance from the venue. 4) Shirdi- Shri.Saibaba Mandir-about 225 kms from the venue... 2

2 [..2.. General Information : 1. Entrants are requested to give telegraphic information about their date and time of arrival well in advance. 2. The Tournament Committee is empowered to change the venue, time and the dates of the matches, if necessary. 3. The teams are requested to follow strictly the match schedule and should report their teams at least half-an hour before the commencement of the matches per team. 4. A sum of Rs.1500/- (Rupees One Thousand Five Hundred only) for Per Match will be collected towards the officiating charges in accordance with the AIU guidelines. 5. Managers are requested to produce the documents mentioned below to the competent authorities at the venue immediately on arrival at the campus, at the reception Booth. (a) Eligibility pro-forma in quadruplicate (four copies) (b) Recent Identity Cards of the players duly signed by the players and attested by the Director of Physical Education of the concerned Universities. (c) University Flags for the March Past which is compulsory for all the teams. 6. The Matches will be conducted in accordance with the rules of the Kho-Kho Federation of India as adopted by AIU, New Delhi. 7. A meeting of the managers will be held at Senete Hall, Jalgaon, at 4.00 p.m. on 18 November Teams should make their own arrangements for Boarding. 9. If necessary the participating teams will be required to play one match per session. 10. The matches will be started on 19 November, 2018 at 7.00 a.m. onwards. There will be morning and evening sessions. Morning session will commence at 7.00 a.m. & evening at 2.00 p.m. 11. Reception Booth will be installed just outside the Jalgaon Railway Station/ST Stand. Managers are requested to contact at the booth on arrival. 12. Visitors-persons other than the players shall not be accommodated in the campus. 13. It will not be possible for the organizers to arrange for the return reservation of the participating teams Managers in charge should arrange for them. 14. Withdrawal, if any, should be communicated at the earliest. Opening Ceremony: All the teams should participate in the march past with their University flag on the inaugural day on 19 th November, 2018 at a.m. at the Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon. The teams should assemble for a rehearsal of the March Past at 9.30 a.m. on 19 th November 2018 Please, find enclosed herewith the instructions and fixtures for the tournament.
